What to expect
Getting to our buildingArriving at a new location can be a difficult experience. We want to support you every step of the way!
❋ Finding UsFollow directions/ signs for Gunstock Mountain Resort. When you turn onto Panorama Drive, you can follow the signs for Lakes Region Disabled Sports. Our building is located next to the tubing area and the mountain coaster.
❋ ParkingOur building has designated spots for participants to use. Please only park in the LRDS parking spaces, all others are reserved.
❋ Our BuildingThere are ramps at both entrances/ exits to our building. Our front door is accessible by push button. We have an accessible bathroom space with additional space, grab bars, and a open space sink.

Arrive & Get Ready
Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled lesson. This will allow you to access the bathroom, get into snow gear, and meet your instructors.
Please come right into our front entrance. You’ll be greeted by an LRDS staff member or volunteer upon arrival to the building. They’ll help you get settled into our athlete lodge space.
Please Bring
Warm layer (no cotton). A snow jacket and snow pants. Gloves or mittens. Warm sock.
Storing Belongings
You are welcome to leave personal belongings and equipment in the athlete lodge while you go out skiing. If you may need something during your lesson, please let volunteers know so they can make sure you have access to it.
Bathroom/ DressingA caregiver is responsible for assisting with bathroom hygiene and dressing.
Leaving the Building
With support from volunteers/ staff, you will travel out of the building by walking or sliding in a sit-ski. When outside, we have a ramp and stairs. Athletes will either walk over to the ski area or travel over on the snowmobile trailer.
